Fundraising Season

Ah, fall is in the air.  Kids are back in school, football is back on the TV...and fundraisers are filling up the calendar.

I am on the advisory board of the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia, and our annual banquet is in two weeks, on Tuesday, September 27, at the University City Sheraton.  My good friend Steve Tang will be the keynote speaker so that alone is worth the price of the admission.  But you will also get great food and plentiful networking opportunities.  Plus you will be supporting the Asian Chamber at a critical time in its existence and in our local economy.  For more info on tickets and sponsorship, go here.

I am also on the board of directors of the Community Design Collaborative, and our annual Bowling Ball event is next Saturday, September 24, at Erie Lanes.  My firm will have a lane and you should buy one too, or at least a ticket.  It's a really fun event and it is supporting a really great organization that is doing really important design work throughout the city.  Here's a link to the details.

Finally, I am no longer on the board of The Enterprise Center but I encourage you to support them by attending their annual fundraiser, Lighting the Torch, which will be on Thursday, October 6, at The Enterprise Center.  This is a very well-done, feel-good event that is part of the city's Minority Enterprise Development Week (MEDWeek).  More info can be found here.
